Kim has been USAG Safety Certified and has completed the USAG Kinder Accreditation for Teachers. She has also completed the USAG Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development. Kim works with our preschool gymnastics. She enjoyed recreational gymnastics as a child and her love for gymnastics was rejuvenated when her children began taking lessons and decided to begin teaching preschool. She has been teaching for 6 years. She is also in charge of organizing our birthday parties and looks forward to the staff of The Funplex providing a special day for your child in our facility.
Jodi is the Director of our Competitive Teams here at the Funplex of Gulf Breeze. This includes our RAGE All Star Cheerleading, The Gulf Breeze Gymnastics Team, and our newest additions - Florida United and The RAGE Dance Krews. Jodi has been with the Funplex (previously known as Gulf Breeze Gymnastics and Cheer) since 2006. She has had many roles as a coach in our facility in both the competitive and recreational sides of cheerleading and gymnastics. Currently, most of Jodi's time is spent coaching her RAGE teams and managing everything that goes along with planning and organizing the competitive teams here at the Funplex. Jodi is the mother of 2 children, who have both been raised in the gym. She has 10 years of coaching experience in levels 2-8 of Gymnastics and levels 1-6 of All Star Cheerleading. Before becoming a coach, she participated in both of these sports. She was a competitive gymnast from the age of 6 to 13, stopping in level 9. Jodi also cheered from 6th grade through College and is currently on our level 6 International Co-Ed Team, Florida United. Jodi is extremely passionate about her job and the children that she coaches. She finds great joy in the excitement a child feels after working so hard to achieve a new skill.
Coach Tiger has been coaching gymnastics in the Pensacola area and around the world since 1993. Tiger was a competitive springboard diver and was 5th in the state of Florida his senior year in high school. After graduating from B.T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Tiger traveled the world doing live stunt shows for three years and competed (and got second place) in the very first ESPN X-Games. Tiger has held many jobs over the years, but has always returned to his passion of coaching gymnastics and tumbling. Tiger is an assistant team coach and coaches recreational classes at all levels.
Tracy joined The Funplex staff in 2006 teaching Preschool and Recreational classes. Beginning in 2009 she began as the bookkeeper as well as the Pre-Team coach. In 2010, Tracy began to shift her focus to the financial and bookkeeping side of The Funplex. Tracy’s manages preparing and maintaining fiscal records, general bookkeeping duties, and maintaining records. Her background includes similar positions with small companies and a large accounting firm. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a BA in Accounting.
Sydney loves working with children of all ages and has been with the Funplex since January 2010. In the past she has worked as a long-term substitute teacher for regular education, special education, and as a school nurse. She has also worked as an assistant daycare director, a paraprofessional for special needs, as a lead and assistant preschool teacher, a lead infant-room teacher, a tutor, and as a cheerleading and gymnastics instructor. Her experience has taught her the value of humor in teaching, as well as the importance of always remaining open to learning and to the constant treasure of life seen through the eyes of a child. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, reading non-fiction, spending time with her family, and enjoying Pensacola's beaches and local festivals.
Coach Jay is a native of Pensacola and truly loves this area. Jay has been coaching gymnastics and tumbling since 1998. Jay has been coaching at the Funplex since January 2010. While in college at Auburn University, Jay worked as an assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers Collegiate Gymnastics Team, as well as coaching a Competitive Optional Team at Auburn Gymnastics Academy. Jay has helped several gymnasts secure college scholarships. Jay has a love for coaching, as well as a strong competitive spirit. He loves the challenge of teaching kids to push themselves to the limit. Jay lives in Pensacola with his loving wife Samantha, and 2 beautiful little girls, Berkley and Bryley.
